"Cable box goes bye bye!"

Your Review: Got this card around the 14 of August and DOES have issues with ATSC which are yet to be resolved with Ceton. I was scheduled for the technicians for NPG CableVision on Sept. 1st to install the CableCARD. Techs came, conquered, and now I have an awesome, revamped HTPC, with HD Digital Cable!

"I love this tuner!!!!!"

Your Review: It's not cheap, but this is the only device of its kind, from my experience, and what I've read about others, is that you will be more likely to have an issue with your cable provider rather than the device itself. Mine has worked flawlessly, I did have a signal strength issue that was promptly resolved by my cable provider (Comcast, Plymouth MA) and since then have had zero problems with the tuner itself. If you can swing the $$ and are looking to have a whole home DVR or just a kick- HTPC, this card is a must.

"Cannon is charging without shipping"

Your Review: Cannon PC is stating that they will not charge your credit card until tuner ships. This is false, customers are having their credit cards charged when Cannon PC is WEEKS away from even being able to confirm an order. Not good business. Note from Cannon PC - An email was sent to all Ceton pre-order customers 1 week before our first shipment arrived letting them know that due to extensive delays in shipping and extensive orders quantities, that in order to process orders in a timely fashion and not delay the customers delivery we were asking to pre-process credit cards in order to get shipments out quicker. We had to verify that credit cards were valid, billing and shipping addresses were correct and customers still wanted their tuner. Customers had the option not to have their credit card charged early but this could delay us getting their shipment out. If the customer didn’t respond we ****umed they agreed to the option to have their credit card pre-processed. The first shipment of tuners arrived later than expected and we received fewer than expected. As a result some cards that we charged early were delayed an additional 6 days before we could ship. We apologize if we charged a customer’s credit card that did not wish to participate in the early process program.

Your Review: Anxiously await receipt of unit. I was billed on August 6, 2010 which I was led to believe it was shipped on that day. Today is August 14, 2010 and I still do not have it.

Your Review: These cards should be shipping in the next week or two. At least for the first few batches of preorders. Hopefully production issues will clear up soon.

Your Review: I cant wait to get this product. I love the idea of no cable cord going into the computer, one less cord to worry about getting tangled in the cords that are needed to make the computer work.

Your Review: Wonder if I can have a mix of this plus the old style cards in the PC. Looking forward to this card. Unfortunately, Microsoft only allows 4 tuners of a specific tuner type at a time in Windows 7... so you will not be able to combine this card with the ATI Digital Cable Tuner card.

"Get it now - I can't imagine going back to 2 tuners"

Your Review: I've had a prototype of this tuner for a while and love it. I can't imagine going back to the ATI units and only being able to record one channel per card, not to mention this costs less than 2 ATI units and does 4x as much! Additionally, from what I've seen the Ceton folks are very receptive to customer requests. Highly recommended!
